Favorite thing to do that doesn't involve cycling would be Jiu Jitsu. Currently working on earning my Black Belt

Where is your favorite place to ride?

Favorite place to ride would be around Long Beach and the beach bike path.  Love the smell of the ocean

Who inspires you to ride? Who got you into riding and why?

Honestly, everyone at the shop is inspiring. We have someone who is in their mid 60's but still rides like he's in his 20's. My best friend was the person who got me into cycling. He started cycling as a way to lose weight and our first year of cycling we did close to 3000 miles together.

Where is your favorite underrated Specialized bike?

Favorite underrated Specialized bike would be the Roll 2.0. It's such a comfy bike to just cruise around on.

What’s your favorite mid-ride or post-ride food?

Mid ride you can see me with gummy Scooby snack or untapped waffles. I save the big burrito or burger for after, but it all starts with a latte.

What’s your favorite thing to do that doesn’t involve bikes?

You can say I have a shoe problem! I collect, buy, sell, and trade vintage and new shoes, on top of getting them miles in .

Where is your favorite place to ride?

I prefer to ride off road on some mild gravel trails but I always find myself doing more miles on road. I would have to say Glendora mountain road is on of my favorite spot for that crazy fast decent

Who inspires you to ride? Who got you into riding and why?

No one person I can say, but a friend of mine started a group ride in LA during the pandemic as a peaceful protest, by far on of the most welcoming people and since then I've been putting those miles in.

Where is your favorite place to ride?

Malibu is fantastic but can be hard on the body if the fitness isn’t there or your bike doesn’t have some serious climbing gears. Griffith Park and the Angeles Forest are fantastic options if it’s not the peak of summer. Unless you like sweating out your body weight in water every 30 minutes.

Why do you ride?

I fell into commuting when I was a kid because I have two sisters and my mom couldn’t logistically drive all of us to school on time and get to work. I started trying to beat cars on my bike and realized I loved going fast. I don’t enjoy racing but will happily turn up the suffering any time!

What’s your favorite thing to do that doesn’t involve bikes?

Photography - I’ve been building a portfolio for a few years now and am loving direction it’s heading. That and street tacos, there’s no better food in LA.

What’s your favorite underrated Specialized bike?

Unquestionably the Allez Elite. It’s a light, fast, and capable bike. If you threw on some carbon wheels, I’m certain you could take over the world and still have money for all the street tacos your heart desires.
